Writing for Web page Weekly posting#6

The guidelines for effectively writing for a Web page emphasizes writing short scan able text, since most people do no have the time to read long wordy information on web pages.
Write simple and direct language with an active voice.
Paragraph should be descriptive with limited number of words and the number of sentences.
Make sure the content of web, ancronyms, and abbreviations can easily understood or explained.
Use bold face word to to catch eyes and do not underline.
Use bullets or number list for easy scanning and each list with short description.
Use proper font colors corresponding with the back ground and use familiar commonly used font
The color theme of a web site can important. It is the first thing that viewer sees. Color can can have a positive or negative impression of the content in the web site. The use colors should be consistent through all pages. The page color should reflect the theme of your target audience.
Use images and multimedia to enhance your web site's design and it's appeal.
